Jeff Brice
From cable to cloud.
IT infrastructure and applied systems. I take work all the way through design and architecture to production, across the network, the servers, the cloud, and the software running on top of them.
Who I am
I'm an IT infrastructure specialist. I build resilient, secure systems and keep them running, across cloud and hybrid environments, systems administration, and access control.
Most of the work comes down to removing friction. Access that's secure and still usable, data that stays protected, and routine tasks that handle themselves. The goal is technology that stays out of the way so people can get on with the job.
How I work
Design and architecture through to production and the day-two reality after it. Nothing gets thrown over a wall, because there isn't one.
Isolate, prove, fix
Troubleshooting is a method, not a talent. Narrow it to a layer, prove the fault is there before touching anything, then fix the cause instead of the symptom.
Secure and scoped first
Access boundaries, exposure, and cost get decided at design time. If I publish something, I can tell you exactly what it can and can't reach.
Documented or it isn't done
Runbooks, diagrams, credential rotation dates, handover notes. The goal is a system that survives me being unavailable.
